Change Owner of Folder on Computer
If you want to change the owner of a Google drive folder on your computer, you can do so by logging in to your Google account and going to the Settings tab. Once you’ve done that, you can then choose the Folder option and then select “Change owner” to choose a new owner for the folder.[6]

Transfer Ownership of Google Drive Folder from Drive

After a transfer, the original owners of the files in the Google Drive folder will still have ownership of those files, but they’ll no longer be able to access them. They’ll be unable to delete them, either.
The new owner of the file will also be unable to change the permissions for the file, which means that they’ll only have editing privileges. They’ll also no longer be able to add or remove any users from the document.[12]
If you’re a Google Apps customer, only Premier, Government, and Education domains can transfer file ownership to another account. Consumer Drive users can’t do this.
