Arcane Weapons in Elden Ring

Best Arcane Weapons Elden Ring, If you’re a battle mage looking to flex your magical muscles in Elden Ring, there are plenty of weapons and incantations to help get you started.[1]But which ones are the best arcane weapons in the game?

The best arcane weapons in Elden Ring aren’t just powerful, they also scale well. So, whether you’re a strength build with a bit of magic thrown in, or you’re running a bleed build with a little more faith than intelligence, we’ve got you covered with this list of the best arcane weapons.

Ripple Blade

Best Arcane Weapons Elden Ring

With a massive, open world and an unmatched variety of weapon and magic combinations, it’s no wonder that Elden Ring’s PvP is so varied.[2] This is especially true of the game’s combat mechanics, which are constantly being rebalanced to give players a variety of builds and styles of play.

This is why it’s incredibly important to know the right weapons for your playstyle, so you can make the most of the game’s vast arsenal. While there are some staples that everyone should have in their inventory, such as the Dragon Halberd or Lucerne’s Blade, there are also a few lesser-known options that can be extremely useful for specific build types.[3]

For example, the Dragon Halberd is a great weapon for the vagabond class and can be found very early on. The halberd can be upgraded to produce a good amount of physical damage and can be infused with Ashes of War, which helps increase the chip damage it deals. It’s also a good choice for strength faith builds, as it has a high attack rating and is relatively short in reach.

Similarly, the Nightrider Glaive is a good weapon for the banished knight’s build and can be found fairly early on as well. This halberd can be infused with Ashes of Cold and Quality, which improves its heavy scaling, while Determination and Royal Knight’s Resolve ash of war can also help boost the overall chip damage it does.

The Winged Scythe is another weapon that can be easily obtained at an early point in the game, making it a good option for both PvE and PvP. It’s got great scaling in both strength and damage, as well as some decent blood loss build-up for the Reaper subclass.[4]

While it may not be the best PvE weapon, it’s definitely one of the most powerful elden ring weapons for a PvP build, and it can easily be found in Tombsward Ruins. It’s also one of the easiest weapons to acquire, making it an excellent choice for beginners and players who want to level their way up quickly.

Morgott’s Cursed Sword

There are plenty of arcane weapons to choose from in the elden ring, but few can match Morgott’s Cursed Sword for its sheer power. [5]It can fire a sweeping attack or a devastating magic beam that deals absurd amounts of damage to enemies. Its weapon skill allows it to also deal status effects and elemental damage, making it an extremely versatile option in both PvP and solo play.

This sword is a great choice for anyone who wants to go all out against bosses, as it has an impressive amount of damage, high critical hits, and constant swing rate. It is also very durable and can be infused with Ashes of War, further boosting its viability against end-game bosses.

Its weapon skill is also very useful, as it imbues the sword with a lot of Black Flame. This increases its range, and it can deal a lot of damage to foes who try to slash at it.[6]

In addition to being a great option for solo play, it is incredibly powerful in PvP due to its incredible range and speed. It can confuse opponents and cause them to underestimate how far it will go, which makes it a fantastic weapon for taking on swarms of enemies in a PvP scenario.

The only downside to this weapon is that it can be difficult to use, as it requires you to double-hand it and attack from the back, which may make it a little unwieldy. However, if you’re willing to get creative with your weapon skills, it is one of the best arcane weapons in the game.[7]

If you’re able to successfully double-hand it, it can be an excellent choice for anyone who needs a weapon that can keep up with the fast movement of a boss. It’s also incredibly durable and can be infused with Ashes for additional buffs, making it an exceptionally viable option in both PvP and solo play.

Morgott’s Cursed Sword is probably the most damaging arcane weapon in the game, thanks to its ability to increase blood damage and its hammer/holy sword swap combo.[8] It can be easily buffed by a few Incantations and talismans, which makes it a great choice for anyone looking to take on tougher enemies in the elden ring.

Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear

Best Arcane Weapons Elden Ring

If you’re an aspiring arcane builder in Elden Ring, then you’ve probably heard of Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear. The spear is a great weapon to use if you’re aiming to slash your way through your enemies in a fast and efficient manner. It also has a wide range of benefits, such as granting an increased damage bonus and allowing you to stay out of your enemy’s reach while fighting.[9]

The spear is a powerful tool for both PvE and PVP, as it can stun lock many of the game’s enemies and even provide you with a buff to your basic attacks. It’s also one of the best weapons for faith builds because of its versatile moveset and high damage.

It requires 16 strength, 18 dexterity, and 15 faith to wield. Its regular attacks deal both physical and holy damage, scaling most from your faith and a little less from your dexterity.[10] It also comes with a unique ability called Blade Of Gold, which deals purely holy damage on your targets while causing them to bleed.

As for its attack range, it’s a bit short compared to other weapons on this list, but that’s not really a problem since this sword can be used at a distance as well. This sword’s Wave of Gold skill can be a great weapon to use against Albinaurics in the fan-favorite Mohgwyn Palace farming spot, causing massive area damage and letting you kill these creatures with ease.

This weapon also boasts an impressive AOE holy damage attack, which is perfect for dealing with large groups of enemies.[11] This makes it one of the strongest spears in Elden Ring.

It’s important to note that this weapon doesn’t scale very well from your faith and only slightly scales from your dexterity, but it’s still a good choice for arcane builds who want to deal high-damage with their basic attacks. It’s also a great option for players who are pursuing a multi-type damage build because it can be paired with a ranged arrow that can deal different kinds of damage.

Rivers of Blood

When it comes to arcane weapons, there are many options to choose from. Some will be better than others depending on how you play Elden Ring and what you like to do.[12] Having a strong starting weapon can be crucial to success in this game, so it’s important that you find the best one for you!

If you’re a melee gamer who’s looking for an effective arcane build, the Bloodhound’s Fang is probably your best bet. It’s a Curved Greatsword that players can obtain once they vanquish Limgrave’s Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, and it’s one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

However, its power can be a double-edged sword. It can make players resistant to branching out into other weapons that may be more fun.[13]

The best way to deal with this is by making sure you have a solid build and upgrade your attributes accordingly. During the early game, allocating points to Vigor and Endurance is a good way to boost your damage, but you should prioritize Dexterity and Intelligence for the late game.

Another key stat to consider is Faith. This can improve the damage you receive from incantations and improve the scaling of your weapon skills. It also allows you to learn advanced incantations and weapon buffs, and is essential for arcane builds.

In addition, it can also help you resist enemy magic and items, allowing you to take a more powerful approach to combat.[14] You can also use it to boost your magic resistance and item drop chances, which can be particularly beneficial in Elden Ring’s tougher fights.

Moreover, it can also increase your spell damage, which is useful for players who like to take advantage of elemental effects in their builds. This is especially handy in combat against Those Who Live In Death and other undead enemies.

It’s important to keep mobility in mind when playing Elden Ring, as it’s a game that’s incredibly difficult and can be punishing when you’re out of breath or injured. The Windy Crystal Tear is a great addition to any build that relies on mobility, as it increases the efficiency of rolling while remaining invincible. [15]

Eleonora’s Poleblade

Best Arcane Weapons Elden Ring

Eleonora’s Poleblade is a twin-blade weapon which is incredibly strong at both melee and fire damage.[16] It can be found on the Second Church of Marika in the Altus Plateau and is a great option for players who want to use a powerful twin-blade.

This is a great choice for bleed-focused builds as it has an incredibly high bleed build-up by default. It also has a very fast moveset which means you can apply bleed very quickly.

The bleed build-up on this weapon can be further enhanced by investing points into arcane, making it a great option for players who are looking to play the game with a bleed focus. In addition, the unique R2 moveset on this weapon means you have more chances to trigger Blood loss effects in PvP.[17]

There are a lot of different twin blades available in Elden Ring, but this one has become especially popular among speed runners thanks to its strong jump attacks. It also has a unique skill called Bloodblade Dance which allows you to do a flurry of tornado-like attacks that can deal a significant amount of damage.

It can be a little bit hard to find this weapon early on in the game, but it can be very effective for those who enjoy the slashing and punching style of gameplay. It is a good option for those who are just starting out with the twin-blade weapons type and want to see how it works out.

The Golden Halberd is another fantastic choice for those who are looking for a weapon with a bit more flair. It has a unique skill that increases your strength and dexterity stats while imbuing the weapon with Godfrey’s power. It also deals a fair amount of Holy Damage, which is useful against undead enemies.[18]

Varre’s Bouquet

Varre’s Bouquet is an arcane scaling hammer that deals Bleed and Blood Loss when enough hits are dealt. Its high scaling means it’s a great weapon for PvP, and it also has some decent intelligence and strength scaling to boot.

To get Varre’s Bouquet, you need to complete White Mask Varre’s questline in Elden Ring. This involves invading other players’ worlds and spilling blood, in the name of the Lord of Blood. The first step is to visit the Rose Church in Academy Gate Town.

Once you’ve beaten Godrick, you’ll find Varre standing outside the church’s front door.[19] He will ask if you’re maidenless once more, but he won’t reveal his true intentions until you go inside the church to speak with Enia the Finger Reader.

When you do, you’ll receive an item called the Lord of Blood’s Favor, a piece of white cloth that Varre instructs you to soak in the blood of a maiden. You have a few different ways to complete this part of the quest, including finding one of the three dead maidens found at Writheblood Ruins in Altus Plateau.

Then, when you return to Varre in the church, he’ll ask you to join his order, and will give you a stack of Bloody Fingers. He’ll also give you a Pureblood Knight’s Medal that can be used to teleport you to Mohgwyn Palace, the late-game area that houses the boss fight for the Lord of Blood himself.[20]

You can either cut down Varre in the beginning, but it’s a lot better to let him live. He may insult you on his first meeting, but the rewards he gives you later are much more valuable.

Dragon Communion Seal

Best Arcane Weapons Elden Ring

Using the Dragon Communion Seal can give your weapon a huge boost. It can increase the damage of many incantations, especially those with a high FP cost.

Dragons are a key element of the Elden Ring world, as they provide epic battles and a variety of Incantations to unlock. Defeating the various dragons around the map can give you a chance to get a Dragon Heart, which you can trade in for more Incantations.

One of the best Dragon Communion Incantations in Elden Ring is Dragonclaw, which is a breath and elemental attack Incantation that rips off enemies’ guts with a lethal rage. Suitable for players pursuing Faith or Arcane builds, it’s a cheap and accessible Incantation that requires 32 FP and 17 Faith and 13 Arcane stats to cast.

Another Dragon Communion Incantation that’s a must have is Dragonfire, which transforms the caster into a fire dragon and deals fire damage. While this Incantation doesn’t raise you above the ground, it does have a slightly longer range than Agheel’s Flame and is more effective against non-boss foes.

If you’re looking to take down a lot of enemies quickly, you can use this Incantation in combination with a powerful spell such as Greyoll’s Roar or Theodorix’s Magma. These are two Incantations that have a lot of area-of-effect (AoE) and will help you clear large groups of enemies in no time.

You can also use this Incantation in conjunction with a powerful weapon such as the Serpent Bow or Bloody Helice. Both of these can help you rip off large amounts of damage fast, which will make your life easier in the fights that require a lot of firepower.

Serpent Bow

The Serpent Bow is a unique weapon that scales with strength and dexterity, making it a viable choice for both magic users and wizard builds. The arrows it fires are also very long, which makes them great for snipers.

This is one of the most powerful long-range weapons in Elden Ring and can be a real weapon of mass destruction when used with Starscourge Radahn’s Spear Greatarrows. The weapon skill, Radahn’s Rain, is incredibly damaging and can even make you feel like a boss!

It’s also one of the few Bows that can be used on bosses in Elden Ring. This makes it a good weapon for players looking to take down the Serpent boss in Serpent’s Spine Mines or any of the bosses in the Volcano Caves.

Moreover, this is an excellent choice for health builds because it heals 2.5% of your max HP and 25 flat health per kill, which can be very useful when fighting big enemies. Its passive bonus damage is particularly strong, too!

As a result, it’s also an excellent weapon for leeching health, especially when combined with other health-healing weapons in the game. It can be found in the temple quarter of Liurnia of the Lakes, inside a ruined building’s chest.

While the Serpent Bow isn’t the most popular weapon in the game, it is a great choice for both magic users and wizards alike. This weapon is a bit trickier to use, but it can be a fearsome tool once you’ve mastered it.
