How to Add YouTube Video to Google Slides
Whether you want to use a video that you’ve already saved or a new one from YouTube, you can easily insert it in your Google Slides presentation.
To embed a video in your Google Slides, you can use the search feature to find and select it. Or you can paste the YouTube video URL into a text box.[4]
To insert videos from YouTube
Adding videos to Google Slides is an excellent way to show presentations with visual elements. However, the process can be a little tricky, and there are some steps that you should take to make it easy for you.
If you want to add a video from YouTube, you’ll first need to upload the file into your Google Drive account. Then, you can use the Insert Video option to add it to your slides. In addition, you can change the format options to resize the video, position it on the slide, or add a drop shadow.[5]
To insert videos from your hard drive
You can add videos from your hard drive to Google Slides, but if the video is not available on YouTube or you want to share it with others, you may need to upload the video to Google Drive before adding it to your slides. After that, klik Select and the video will be added to your slide.
If you want to resize or change the format options of the video, you can do that in the toolbar at the top. The toolbar will give you options like Size & Rotation, Position, and Drop shadow.
To resize videos

The other section named “Size & Rotation” allows you to adjust the width, height, and aspect ratio of your video. You can also lock the video’s aspect ratio so that it cannot be changed by your audience.
This is an especially useful feature if you want to use your video in present mode, as it will ensure that it doesn’t interfere with the rest of the text on your slides. You can also lock the video’s orientation to prevent your audience from changing it during your presentation.
