Color-coding will also help you know which emails are important or urgent.

The process of auto-sorting on Gmail is not difficult to learn, but the UI is rather intuitive. You only need to do it once to take advantage of this feature. Once set up, auto-sorting will save you from wasting your time sorting through a zillion emails every day.

The first step to automatically label incoming emails in Gmail is to create a mail filter. Filters help you organize and manage your inbox. Once you have configured the rules, you can customize the criteria for moving messages from your primary inbox to your label. For example, if you want to move a message to another folder, you can set it up to automatically move it to a label called “Email This.” This way, you will only receive emails that you actually want to see. These filters will be automatically applied to new emails as soon as you label them.

Filtering emails can be time-consuming and tedious. Especially if you have a large number of unread messages. You don’t want to be buried under hundreds of emails. But there are simple methods to automate the process. You can use Gmail filters and label them as Smart Labels to automatically sort your emails.
